Just wanted to thank Madeline for a very interesting workshop. I had no idea how you could make a bad photo look so good, was a little disapointed that I had deleted photo's that hadn't come out to clear now !!!! Jordon your work on your photo you did was great, the way you covered the writing you didn't want to exactly the same background was fab.

Photoshop Me!

We did a workshop with Madeline on using photoshop. It was good fun. I played with the CURVES tool and experimented with putting in and taking away different amouns of Red Green and Blue from my pictures.

I'm going to upload the pictures here so you can see how differnt the photographs look when you change the levels of these coloirs. In one of hte pictures, Alicia, we were able to make the wooded deck look much richer and more wood-like. In the original photo it was Read More...

I can't download my pictures! I don't have cables for my new camera...but i will try again today with a card reader.
I did enjoy last night - great to see so many pictures - including the one of Peter looking like the demon headmaster! You see the camera does lie!
I suppose I'm still a bit old fashioned in my outlook so I'm not sure that we should be tweaking photo colour and the like...though its amazing to think what can be done. All those glamorous pictures of film stars and models, tRead More...

Thanks so much to Madeleine for leading us from ignorance to enlightenment with photoshop (my ignorance, anyway).
It was really good to see so many wonderful photos appearing from the group's cameras. Obviously lots of action over half term in the markets and elsewhere. Looking at Movies by and about kids.

I've been looking at film and video made by kids to get some ideas. I love this project made here in East London by kids from a Pupil Referral unit. I think i've seen it before, or bits of it...It's called Beneath the Hood and it was made by Eelyn's production company!!

Alice in Wonderland visits the Portrait Gallery

We wne tto see Alicein Wonderland in 3-D. When you look at how it is filmed, and how the characters are made up and dressed, its easy to imaging the people who made the film having been to the portrait gallery: Look at these images - a bit similar?

We thought it was a great movie and it was fun to see how much like the portraits the characters looked!!

MIdsummer's Night Dream

I first heard about this play - MIdsummer's Night Dream - when i was 8 or maybe 9. I was reading the book Ballet Shoes and the three girls in the story were cast in different roles in the play.

Olivia and I chose this particular market as we feel no matter what the accassion happy or sad flowers are a real feel good to many people. The market was ablaze with people,colour and aromas even dispite the rain !!!!

Today has been my favourite day to use the camera as I took wonderful photo's and bought beautiful fresh flowers which put a smile on my friends face ( priceless ).
