Hello All,
Well Saturday was good. Keon and I arrived early as we didn’t really know where we were going. So we had a look in the shop for once Keon didn’t complain about us shopping. I don’t know of it was an early start or I was hot and bothered...I just got a little bored. I really like the photographs in the competition. I had a look at them on the website before hand so it was nice to see them in frames and a little background info.
I was looking at the soldier a close up portrait, Magdlene asked me if I liked it, “yes" I told her. He had sadness in his eyes I wanted to hear him speak. Also I thought he was a bit of a hunk!!Anyway it turns out that Magdlenes hubby took the photo..(good job I didn’t pull it to pieces lol)
The photograph that won surprised me, I thought it was very plain and boring, it reminded me of swimming when if was at school, I was scared of the water and hated the changing rooms, so for me I discarded the photo.(not very nice I know) When I sat down there was a couple saying they couldn’t believe that photo had won also. Obviously we are not professionals and don’t know anything about the lighting pose etc.

When we left the gallery, we had a walk to Trafalgar square, Keon and I were heading for the lions, then you never guess who walked past????AMY WINEHOUSE.."Keon look there’s AMY"...only joking it was Amy in Drag!!Any way I shouted Amy can we take your pic! Sure she said and posed...then we saw the others...5 drag queens! I ended up in the middle of them and saying to Keon take one more! One of the ladies said hurry up, I’m getting face ache! So I said actually we are doing a project taking photos, they said ahw bless him!!

So after all that excitement we got on the bus and jumped of had a wonder round China town, managed to buy a paper lantern..Keon didn’t feel comfortable not sure why. So we headed home.

SAMPLED

After dancing with Mr Cannon to Salsa(love salsa) i was really looking forward to the show.btw Mr Cannon you got moves!
A good selection,my fav was the cuban dance i think in a past life i was latino lol,i couldnt take my eyes of the stadge.The winners of the comp;it was a little confusing to quote Keon "marching up and down-what was all that about?'i really liked the end bit.I realise i like sequence,when people dance to the beat of the music and all in time.The ballet was nice also,i need to push myself to see if i could watch a full performance.The breakers were excellent also,a lady in front of me  who was around 80 was bopping away which was really nice to see.
I love going out with the group and im so looking forward to the photography sess.I know what kind of pics i want to take so hopefully i can learn how to take them better.Watch  out RANKIN!

I thought it was quite good but some of the parts were a bit dramitc  it was fun whatching .I think i would go to watch it again.They made it look realistic.As an example the bit when the guy got shot in the eye and i saw blood also the people swimming in the water.but it was strings.I liked the how the added all the instruments together and made different sounds.

So we went to watch Nation,it was uhm,uhm thinking of the right words er!It was ok,so much going on in the story line.i liked the one liners from the parrot.The toad joke had me in fits!!
Had lots of fun on the bus home...cant wait for the next sess.
Keon loved it..
I love seeing the children smile and laff!What more can a mum ask for??

Well after introductions i find out that i can kill two birds with one stone!Museums and shoes-(i will  take a picture of some of my fav ones)YEAH!Maybe this time round i will get excited about museums,we will see.
What have i seen art wise that i like,well i love the drawing on the wall in the art class.We walk we talk..its black and white and lots going on.I wonder who the artist is?

I am now going to do something i havent done before,i will attempt to video the picture and up load..here goes.

One last thing,im really looking forward to ABC this year,i had fun last year and im sure we will have even more this year.

The last visit....

how does the saying go?save the best till last,this wasnt the case.If the visit to the museum had been the first visit,i really dont think i would have seen the project through.The house has had an effect on me,i kept thinking im in this mans house,saying he was senile,he could still be in the house....he could pay me a visit!

Well,well well,what a turn up for the books!I have an opinion about art!Some i like some i dont and some well quit frankly,i think the artist is trying his or her luck!

I can say i really had a good time,i have seen  films when people walk round galleries and look at a picture for a good few minutes.I really never thought that would be me,it was,i was looking at the painting morning,i related to it in so many ways.She looked tired,sad and hurt.All of which i have felt!Believe me that could of been me lying there!I felt and feel, sometimes we just need to rest....
