On Saturday 6th Febuary i went to The National Portrait Gallery and i really enjoyed it. I also heard from kay that she went to The National Gallery instead of The National Portrait Gallery!(I would easily get mixed up with that!)

First of all we got to wonder around the gallery, i did with my mum Naya and Samson, we were wondering all around the place. We then became hungry and started felling Ravenous
which suprises me because i bearly eat.We went to the caffe downstairs to have our lunch and it was delicious! We were ment to go to The National Gallery afterwards but everyone was to tired so we all went home.
Some of the paintings made feel sad like  when there was a painting of a man with no eyes and it looked really sad and sorry. One other sad one was that there was a lady who had a big cut round her waste and it was masive, she burst into tears which made me fell sorry for her. There were also some discusting paintings that aren't for children and that was not that funny.

I wouldn't mind going to The National Portrait Gallery again, but maybe next time we can stay a bit longer. I also want to say love everyones work on the blog and keep blogging!

Hello All,
Well Saturday was good. Keon and I arrived early as we didn’t really know where we were going. So we had a look in the shop for once Keon didn’t complain about us shopping. I don’t know of it was an early start or I was hot and bothered...I just got a little bored. I really like the photographs in the competition. I had a look at them on the website before hand so it was nice to see them in frames and a little background info.
I was looking at the soldier a close up portrait, Magdlene asked me if I liked it, “yes" I told her. He had sadness in his eyes I wanted to hear him speak. Also I thought he was a bit of a hunk!!Anyway it turns out that Magdlenes hubby took the photo..(good job I didn’t pull it to pieces lol)
The photograph that won surprised me, I thought it was very plain and boring, it reminded me of swimming when if was at school, I was scared of the water and hated the changing rooms, so for me I discarded the photo.(not very nice I know) When I sat down there was a couple saying they couldn’t believe that photo had won also. Obviously we are not professionals and don’t know anything about the lighting pose etc.

When we left the gallery, we had a walk to Trafalgar square, Keon and I were heading for the lions, then you never guess who walked past????AMY WINEHOUSE.."Keon look there’s AMY"...only joking it was Amy in Drag!!Any way I shouted Amy can we take your pic! Sure she said and posed...then we saw the others...5 drag queens! I ended up in the middle of them and saying to Keon take one more! One of the ladies said hurry up, I’m getting face ache! So I said actually we are doing a project taking photos, they said ahw bless him!!

So after all that excitement we got on the bus and jumped of had a wonder round China town, managed to buy a paper lantern..Keon didn’t feel comfortable not sure why. So we headed home.

Thank you to those who came along on Saturday. My parents thought you were all amazing and mum went on and on about how polite and interesting all the children were. She was stunned by how you were all so willing to chat to her (clearly more willing than I am!!!). Living out in the wilds of Devon I think she has been reading too many newspaper reports and listening to the telly all of which say that the children of Hackney are wild! Well done for showing her that the newspapers get it wrong!!! You are all amazing! I hope you were inspired by what you saw at the Gallery, I've certainly decided to focus on making my subjects look happy! Thanks to Ronnie and Kay for going to the National Gallery - sorry we were round the corner in the PORTRAIT gallery but I hope you had a good time anyway. There's a blogging sesion at Jubilee on Wednesday 10th so you can write up all your thoughts and try to get some pictures on the blog? Hope to see you there. Thanks again for Saturday.

we loved the Hip Hop and the bit where someone went 'euwe' at the ballet dancers kissing and lots of people laughed and then we got told off by the usher.

Alex loved the variety of people old ,young, all ages all colours, shapes and sizes going to see dance on a Sunday Night. And the dance/theatre piece with the green leaves.

On Tuesday 26th January i went to the dance workshop, i really enjoyed it and i would like to do it again. I guess you are waiting for me to tell you what happened, then your in luck.
We first of all had to copy the teacher called cheryle and it was fun. We then learnt some salsa and we had to move our hips a lot but we only learnt the basic steps. Then we learnt some freestile one of them was called the six step which is the one when you are moveng your legs and arms on the floor. We first of all for the freestile walked forward four times on the fourth step we posed, like peace. We do that four times then we slide to the left and the right four times, then this is when it gets complicated to the end. Then, we push ourself forward on one foot and backwards on the other foot then we kick both of our legs quickly once on each foot. Afterthat we turn to show we want to fight. Next, we did something that i call pop which is when you move your body slowly but in a freestile way. Then, when you are on the floor you do something called the six step which i told you about in this paragraph then you can do a balance like head stand or frog balance any balance. If you do all of that well you are a freestile proffesional!

Now you might be wondering where this cheryle is from, well she is from sadlers wells and i know that place is great!

If you want more information give me a comment and i can send it to you.

The photography workshop at Lauriston School reminded me of the tragic death of Lady Diana. I don't personally like how photographers interfere into peoples privacy, especially when they do not get the permission of the people they photograph. Everyone should be given the freedom to choose if they want their photograph taken or not, including the celebrities. The idea of encrouching into peoples lives without their consent is not my thing. I don't know if i will do well in this task, but i will try to do my best without making anyone unhappy.

Great things i intend to go for, are ancient things that shows beauty of the old times, and traditional things that show different culture and its beauty. Though not my strong point, i look forward to come up with nice poses.

The Austrialian open started well, and ended not too well for me. It was sad to see Roger Federer and Andy Murray playing the final. Federer being my best tennis player, and Murray representing our nation. It was sad to see Murray hold back tears, but like Federer said, he is a good player that will one day fulfil his dream. He fought a good fight, knocking out great players like Rafael Nadal, Cilic, etc but couldn't do the same with the great man, Federer. It is good to see him move to the third place in the world, and i have no doubt that he will one day hold the number 1 title.

Roger Federer had just broken another record of being the first dad to win a slam. He told the press that there will always be a record set for him, and he wish to break them all. I am 100% sure that he can break any record set for him if he is fit and well. A great player of our time, winning 16 slam to set a record that might take years to break.

I develop great love for tennis because of the outstanding play of Roger. I would love to see one of my children play tennis in future and to be able to break the record set by this great man of our time. I am his fan anytime even though he does not know i exist. When something is good, it will only be a sin not to acknowledge it. I acknowledge this great man and i wish him all the best. I look forward to see him fly again in the next slam. See you Federer at the French open.

How can i forget to blog about the great time i had at the dance workshop? Oh yes i know why, it was a good excercise i had for a long time, i must be coming out of the tiredness. I had great fun and move my bodies like i have done some years back, nevertheless, the children are great dancers than some of us. Whenever i see children doing what i cannot do now, it remind me of ageing, and get scared of how worse it will become in years to come. How i wish one won't grow old! The workshop is great fun and good exercise for me, and i do look forward to the next one. Let's gooooooooooo dancing again!
